Support That Actually Fits What You're Going Through.

Individual and couples therapy for relationships, intimacy, sobriety, new parenthood, and life's harder transitions, delivered virtually, anywhere in Ohio. Every service below is built around one idea: you shouldn't have to settle for generalist support when what you're dealing with deserves real expertise.

A young woman in a navy blue athletic tracksuit on a running track with her head bowed and eyes closed, smiling softly, with her hands resting on her stomach.

Maybe you've tried to bring up what's really going on with a partner, a friend, even a past therapist and it never quite landed the way you needed it to.

You're exhausted from holding it together for everyone else while quietly wondering when it's your turn to fall apart a little.

You've tried everything from journaling to venting to your group chat to just "pushing through it," and none of it touches the actual root of what's going on.

You're wondering if what you're dealing with your relationship, your drinking, your identity since becoming a parent, what the job has done to you is even something a therapist would take seriously.

You don't have to keep doing this alone.

What Counseling Includes

Burning River Counseling is a virtual therapy practice built specifically around the conversations most people feel they have to have alone, sex and intimacy, sobriety, postpartum identity, and the unique stress of high-responsibility jobs.

We offer both individual and couples therapy, 50-minute sessions, delivered entirely virtually so you can do this work from wherever feels safest. Every client starts with a free 15-minute consult to see if we’re a good fit.

Here's what working together looks like: free consult → intake session → ongoing sessions built around your pace (for couples, that typically includes individual sessions before returning to joint work).
